Globe/Miami, Arizona

Globe, AZ is a small town, about 85 miles east of Phoenix off Hwy 60.

Founded in 1876, Globe still retains much of its original architecture and character. Miami, founded in 1907, sits just west of Globe on Hwy 60. Both towns grew up around the mining industry. Miami is a very tiny town and picturesquely trashy; a lot of fun to photograph, but challenging.

Both towns have more wires strung around than a circus. In order to work with this, one must of necessity find a way to incorporate a myriad of electric and phone wires and poles into the design element.

"Globe/Miami", a photographic chronicle, including 109 photographs, is available on an Autoplay CD ($10.00, plus tax and $2.00 S&H = $12.87).

If anyone has seen my disks for sale or purchased one of them anywhere but from this website or from myself, contact me please at (email) sharons_pix@yahoo.com. I have reason to believe someone else downloaded my disk and is selling them. Thanks for your help!

Below are several of the photos included on the CD. Click on a pic to view a larger copy.
