I love to take folks there who've never seen it, and watch them gape when first they encounter the vastness of space and depth that no photo of the Canyon can ever quite achieve.
They say that an encounter with such a force of nature is humbling for the spirit: That one realizes their own insignificance. I myself find it exhilarating.

I normally won't include the widely known places in my work; they've been done by everyone. I swear I've seen the same picture of Antelope Canyon at least ten times on websites. But "the Canyon" has for many years held some sort of mystical significance for me, so these pix are kind of personal. Usually I shoot and publish photos from areas relatively unknown if you are not local. They are not famous. They are just beautiful. Check out Canyon Lake and Lake Roosevelt.
